I got 5 on it!

Five weeks into my self challenge, I report I have gained 5 pounds!! Half way to my goal of 10 pounds in 10 weeks. I have to admit the hardest part has been keeping the weight on. One week wasn't a gain but instead a loss. :( I lost some poundage and had to make up for it, creating what I call The Carb Monster. He just eats and the more he eats, the hungrier he gets. He just needs to reclaim those pounds he lost. I had to check myself real quick though. You see for me, I can easily get carried away and binge out. I wont be doing that anymore. No time for it!

Five days from today Climax Sundays @ Vinyl is back baby!! The party we've waited for since Labor Day 2010 returns! Five days to get it right and get it tight!!! I personally have been counting down since Summer ended. I am over excited, thrilled and ready to dance not only my ass off, but to make those proud that have supported me since I even entertained the thought of dancing. In anticipation for May 29th 2011, I created a list of 5 songs that I eagerly want to hear this dance season.

#1. Can you guess who? Jennifer Lopez, of course. There is more than one ha ha but my first vote is for Hypnotico.

#2. Beyonce slayed the Billboard Music Awards while performing this track. Who Run the World? Beyonce sure is trying to.

#3. She was born that way, yes Lady Gaga was born a Government Hooker. Ever since she worked that Mugler show and that track played, I've been craving it.

#4. Up & Down by the so called Femme Fatale herself, Britney Spears.

#5. I wanna dance like a bad boy to the song by the same title by Denver native ASiEL. Check out the Intro of "Eastside," ASiEL's first music video, which I am thankful to have been a part of.

Paco & Elvis

Earlier this month, I spent a week sitting Paco and Elvis. I have watched these two wonderful dogs several times over the last 10 months. Paco and Elvis are now officially brothers. YAY!! Their parents recently tied the knot and were honeymooning in Paris while I looked after the dogs. I am saddened that they will be moving out of Denver to Mead and that I may no longer be able to watch them. Double :( I met Paco's mother last Summer when my cousin referred one of her co-workers to me. Paco is a more of a hang out kind of dog, while Elvis just wants to play. If we're not playing, Elvis is right by my side even following me around the house. These are just a few of the pix that I snapped of our latest, and hopefully not last, adventure.

Jennifer Lopez kills it on the floor!

Did I expect anything less than absolute amazement? Jennifer definitely shut the stage down and tore it up like no other. All these drags, only ONE queen!! The breakdown beat and floorwork were some of her best moves since the floorwork in her Feelin So Good video. The breakaway glass, the dancers, the pyros, the lift, the outfit, it all had me going crazy and yearning for a TOUR! Yes, Jennifer can we get another tour please?? After being in the music game for 12 years, and only touring once in 2007, J. Lo is still on her game and in my opinion the best she has ever been. If you haven't bought the album LOVE? I urge you to pick up the deluxe edition which includes 5 bonus tracks. Shout out to @yardieiz4life for posting this vid on Youtube!! I am definitely motivated to buy some knee pads to practice some floor work for this summer. Look out!!

Quarter Century Club

Today my sister is officially part of the quarter century club. Happy Birthday Jessica! We celebrated early with family and friends Saturday.

We had a late dinner at Lime in LoDo. Service and food was excellent. Shout out to D who went out of his way to set up some bj shots for some of the couples that were in attendance. Our party of 14 made sure Jessica was the center of attention. Seems just like yesterday we were all kids and having weekend outings with the parents. We were like the brady bunch, only mexican and more attractive. :) My dad with his 3 sons and my step mom with her 3 daughters. My, my, my, how the years fly by. After dinner, bj shots, cake, and tequila shots, we made our way to go dance the night away. We proceeded to Lavish and celebrated with 2 bottles. Shout out to bartender Zach who makes a sweet tart shot that is just like the candy. So happy all came out and had a blast in honor of our Jessica. Happy Birthday Sis, I love you!
